About Me

Hi, I’m Alison, a full time working mam. I am on a mission to make the most of family leisure time, cooking delicious and easy meals and making memories on family adventures.

I live with my husband and grown up son who both love their food and are very vocal food critics. If a recipes passes their critique it must be good! As I work full time I like to create family friendly recipes that are on the table fast with no fuss.

Me and Eddie

I came to Newcastle Upon Tyne to go to university and fell in love with the area. Many years later I am still here. In my free time I love to discover the very best the North East has to offer and create wonderful family memories. We often take our dog, Eddie, a cavalier King Charles Spaniel on our adventures.

Places to eat out in North East England

Although I love to cook it is sometimes nice to have a break and let someone else do the cooking for you. We love to visit a restaurant for a meal from time to time and share our experiences so you know if it is worth going yourself. One of our little treats is having an afternoon tea and we are on a mission to discover the best afternoon tea in North East England.
