Pancetta and parmesan scones

  • 150 g pancetta
  • 200 g self raising flour
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 40 g butter
  • 60 g parmesan cheese grated
  • 100 ml milk


  • Preheat the oven to 200C, Gas Mark 6
  • Combine the flour with the paprika in a bowl
  • Cut the butter into cubes and add to the bowl
  • Rub in the butter until the mixture is like fine breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the pancetta until cooked and add to the mixture with the cheese and mix.
  • Add the milk a little at a time until the mixture forms a dough.
  • Roll out and cut into rounds with a cutter.
  • Place on a greased baking tray and brush the tops with a little milk
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden
