Sage and onion stuffing

Homemade sage and onion stuffing is easy to make. It is a delicious accompaniment to a roast dinner.

Servings: 4 people


  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage chopped
  • 100 g butter
  • 80 g white breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper for seasoning


  • Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F Gas Mark 6
  • Peel and chop the onion
  • Place the onion in a pan, cover with water and bring to the boil. Cook until soft.
  • Mix the onion, sage and breadcrumbs together.
  • In a pan melt the butter, add the onion sage and breadcrumbs and mix together
  • Season with the salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place in an ovenproof dish and cook in the oven for thirty minutes


Serve with a roast dinner and enjoy.
