Barbecue baked beans

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 400 g tins of beans - mixed or cannellini beans
  • 400 g passata
  • 400 g panacetta
  • 1 Tex-Mex Peperami
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • dash of hot sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
  • Add some oil into a pan and gently fry the panacetta and peperami for five minutes.
  • Add the chopped onions and garlic and cook until soft.
  • Add the beans and the other ingredients and simmer for twenty minutes until the sauce thickens.
