Home Made Burgers With Stokes Sauces

We have been really lucky with the weather this Summer, it has been mainly warm and sunny. This has allowed me to spend evenings in the garden, pulling out the weeds or just relaxing in the sunshine. There is nothing nicer on a sunny evening than having a barbecue in the garden. My husband and son love cooking over a barbecue, it makes them feel like cavemen. It also gives me a chance to relax and watch them cook, enjoying a cold drink and watching the dog bask in the sunshine. I love a home made burger in a bap with plenty of salad. The salad makes it feel more healthy and home made burgers taste much nicer than shop bought ones.

There is something relaxing about mixing up the mince to make the burger shapes, making sure they are even and then leaving someone else to cook them to perfection. A home made burger needs a good sauce to bring out the flavour and I was happy to try out this barbecue pack from Stokes Sauces.

There was a sauce to suit everyone, tomato ketchup for my son who is addicted to it, bloody mary ketchup for me and barbeque sauce for my husband. Stokes Sauces are made with the freshest ingredients, and you can taste the difference. The tomato ketchup oozes tomato flavour, the bloody mary ketchup contains real vodka and Worcester sauce adding an exciting tang to the burger whilst the barbeque sauce has a gorgeous smoky flavour. Using these sauces made a home made burger into a gourmet burger. I also tried using the barbeque sauce as a marinade on some pork chops. This also worked really well, they had a sweet smoky flavour which tasted gorgeous. My husband loved the flavour and thought the sauce would work perfectly on ribs as well. I shall have to try that next.
