There is nothing worse than trying to get to sleep at night and being too hot one minute and too cold the next. With this weird weather we have been having recently I never know if I should use a winter duvet or a summer duvet. The Simba duvet aims to solve this problem. It is suitable for all year round and features Stratos® technology on one side which helps regulate your body temperature.

A lot of thought has gone into the Simba Hybrid duvet, it combines luxurious comfort with advanced technology. It incorporates multiple layers designed to work together harmoniously.

The first layer features Simba’s Stratos® technology, inspired by the temperature-regulating properties used in space suits. This innovative layer adapts to your body temperature, keeping you cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cool, ensuring a consistent, comfortable sleep environment all year round.

The outer fabric, made from 100% cotton, provides a soft and breathable surface that feels gentle against the skin.

The inside of the duvet is full of recycled plastic fibres which are lightweight and airy. This enhances breathability and gives the duvet a cosy down-like feel but without the allergens associated with natural down.

Unusually, the duvet features stitching in a square pattern, which helps it retain its shape during washing. It also ensures the duvet remains light, fluffy and perfectly balanced on your body while you sleep.

My Experience

I already own a Simba mattress topper which I love, so I was looking forward to trying out the duvet.

When the duvet arrived it came in a plastic bag, which is recyclable. The packing was not excessive, which is a big plus.

Inside the packaging, you’ll find a carry bag containing the duvet, made from 100% recyclable materials. This is useful for storing the duvet if you ever need to put it away.

When you unpack the duvet, you’ll notice that one side has a plastic-like feel. This is the side for temperature regulation and it should go on top of you. To make it clear which side is which there is a blue band around this side and the plain cotton side has a grey band.

That night we had a good night’s sleep. The weather has been very humid recently but we found the duvet kept us at the right temperature and felt light and fluffy. It is a big improvement on our other duvet and we can keep the same one on all year round.

The duvet is machine washable and will dry quickly due to the nature of the fill fibres, which is a big plus for me. This makes it easy to maintain its cleanliness and freshness.

Conclusion

The Simba Hybrid duvet is at the high end of the price range. However, when you consider its innovative design, its advanced temperature regulation and luxurious feel, it is well worth it. I am happy to have one duvet that I can keep on all year round and know that I will always feel cosy and not overheat.
