Three Areas Of Your Home To Clean To Remove Unwanted Smells
Sometimes your home can start to smell or not feel as fresh as you would like it. It is completely normal, especially as we live in our space every single day. It is also possible to become nose blind and not be able to smell the smells of your home. When you come back from a week away or a weekend trip, you often walk into your home and realize that it’s not smelling as fresh as you would like it to.

Don’t panic though, there are many ways you can make your home smell better, let’s have a look at some of them below:
Deep Cleaning Your Kitchen
You use your kitchen every day and yes you clear up the mess after each meal but the smells can still linger. The smells from cooking can stick to your cupboards, ceilings, and in extractor fans. Start by cleaning all these areas and see what difference it makes. Now we’re not talking about just cleaning the surfaces of these. You need to get into the nitty-gritty and deep clean them properly. Empty your cupboard and clean it inside and out before putting everything back in. Remove your filter from the extractor fan and replace it.
You should then move on to looking at your fridge and freezer. It’s very easy for these to start to smell, especially if it has been a while since you cleaned it. Old food or spills are the usual suspects when it comes to a smelly fridge. Try to eat as much food as possible before you clean your fridge. Empty out the entire contents and then clean each shelf and the inside before you restock it. It will smell fresh and the smell from your kitchen should be miles better.
Cleaning Your Flooring
Your flooring is one of the most used areas of your home. In some places, it will have high traffic daily. This means that it is getting dirty daily. Even if you are hoovering often and mopping your hard floors you may be surprised by how dirty they are. It’s a good idea to deep clean your floors at least every 6 months, more if you live somewhere that has wet weather. Don’t forget to look at professional Rug Cleaning too. Rugs often get neglected when it comes to cleaning the home. Some people prefer to replace a rug, however, when it is properly looked after it can last a lot longer.
Open Windows
This might seem simple, however, there is nothing better than allowing fresh air to circulate your home. If you have had to keep your windows closed during the winter months, now is the time to get some air flowing. It can make your home smell miles better and help to prevent mold from appearing. If you are ever cooking smelly foods it’s a good idea to have a window open on the crack.
