Getting organised for the new year

Home Organisation

I have been getting organised for the new year with the help of some fabulous stationery. Bring some order to your life with a diary.

After all of the excitement of Christmas, it’s easy to feel a little deflated at this time of year. I think most people would agree that January isn’t their favourite month, but this year I’ve decided to make the most of it and to use the quieter period to put some exciting plans in place.

As well as planning a family holiday, we’re going to make more of an effort to enjoy some great days out in and around North East England.

To make sure we stick to all of our plans this year, and make even more amazing family memories, I’ve been on the lookout for some stylish stationery which will make the whole process of planning my year more enjoyable.

After a bit of searching I came across this lovely range of stationery from Office Monster. Made by Italian brand Castelli, they feel like a real treat and at a reasonable price too. I’ve included my favourites below, but there’s plenty more to choose from on the website.

Castelli diary and notebook on a desk

Getting organised for the new year

A new diary

I know that if I don’t get a diary soon the appointments that are written on scraps of paper will get lost and forgotten.

I love starting a new diary and calendar, the blank pages waiting to be filled hold promise for the year ahead. They are invaluable in helping me keep track of my busy life. I can write down appointments, birthdays and keep track of other things I need to do.

Without these lists to refer to there is no way I can remember everything I have to do. I would write appointments on scraps of paper and they will get lost and forgotten. A good diary needs to be able to fit into my handbag but also be large enough so I can see a week at a time.

Castelli diary on desk

This Castelli diary is perfect and just the right size. The hard back cover will keep it safe whilst I carry it about. Inside there is a week to view format with plenty of space for notes. I can record birthdays and events in the yearly planner so I don’t forget them. The brown and gold colour is stylish and the pen loop ensures I always have a pen to write with.

I know with this diary I will be a lot more organised this year.

A good notebook

I love a good notebook, they are so useful for jotting things down in. Often thoughts spring into your mind and if you don’t write them down you forget them. An ideas notebook is perfect for recording random thoughts.

I use my notebook for writing out lists, blog post ideas, recipes and other things that spring to mind. I also use it for weekly meal plans which helps to save money on food. A good notebook is an essential I wouldn’t be without.

Castelli notebook on desk

This Castelli diary perfectly matches my diary and is great for jotting down things I want to remember. I can easily carry the diary and notebook in my handbag without it feeling too heavy.

These are my top picks for getting organised this year. What would be on your wishlist? Let me know below.
