Planning A Cute, Cosy Christmas Eve
Christmas is well and truly on the way; in just a few short weeks we will be deep within the festive season. One of the most magical days out of the entire festive season is, in fact, Christmas Eve. It’s the day before ‘the big day’ and it’s a day that’s packed full of anticipation and hype about what this year’s holiday festivities will bring.
This year is, of course, a little different to every other year, and the way that we are able to celebrate Christmas this year, is also a little different. However, just because things are a little different this year, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have the most amazing holiday season, it’s just a case of adapting a little, that’s all.
Thinking about how you can spend Christmas Eve this year and what steps you can take to make sure that you have a cute, cosy and magical Christmas Eve? Below are a few tips and suggestions for ways that you can make the day special – even if you’re an adult-only household.
Light up some scents
Nothing says Christmas like Christmas scents, does it? If you want to start to feel a little more festive – after all, isn’t that what Christmas Eve is all about – then you might find that filling your home with some lovely festive scents is the perfect way to do that. If you’ve got a wax melter, turn it on and pop in your favourite Christmas scented wax. Or, if you have some scented Christmas candles, pop those on and fill your home with a lovely festive aroma.
Plan a cosy evening
A great way to make Christmas Eve special is to plan a nice cosy evening in, where you and your household can sit back and feel festive. A fun way to make Christmas Eve special – even for the adults too – is to create Christmas Eve boxes, packed full of festive treats, new sleepwear, and lots of Christmas movies. You could also look at hamper gifts to surprise your household with a box full of delicious festive treats to share and enjoy. A festive hot chocolate station is also sure to go down as a big hit with your household.
Do lots of baking
Another simple way to make yourself – and your household – feel more festive is to do lots of Christmas themed baking. There’s nothing quite like a festive baking session to get you in the Christmas mood, is there? Whether you’re making homemade mince pies, gingerbread, or you’re preparing a yule log, it doesn’t matter just as long as the activity is making you feel festive.
There you have it, a few useful tips and ideas for how you can have the most amazing Christmas Eve at home. This year might not be like any other, but that doesn’t have to mean being unable to enjoy the lead up to Christmas – it’s just a case of approaching it in a different way this year, that’s all.
